ARTISTS OF THE MONTH
SAPPHIRE ARTIST OF MARCH
VICKY ANASTASOPOULOU
* Where Forces Collide *
Mixed media

“I work in abstraction to explore energy beyond the visible surface.  My paintings emerge from an intuitive process guided by movement, tension and inner rhythm.  I am interested in what happens between structure and spontaneity — the moment where control softens and something unexpected appears.  Layering plays an essential role in my work.  I build depth through texture, contrast and shifting light, allowing the materials to interact and reveal subtle transformations.  Each piece evolves organically, balancing strength and sensitivity.
For me, painting is not about representation; it is about presence.  It is a dialogue between intention and intuition, density and openness.  My work invites the viewer to pause, to sense and to experience the quiet power that exists beneath the surface.” — VICKY ANASTASOPOULOU

RUBY ARTIST OF MARCH
NORMA RUFFINELLI
**CRYSTAL ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2024**
* I Am *
Mixed media

“My work explores resilience, memory and quiet transformation.  Through layered textures, plaster, paint and sculptural elements, I build surfaces that invite viewers to look closer and feel beyond the image.  My process blends traditional painting with dimensional materials, allowing light and shadow to become part of the story.  Inspired by nature, human emotion and spiritual reflection, my art often suggests movement and flight, symbols of hope and inner strength.  Each piece is created slowly, intuitively, honoring the labor and intention behind handmade work.  I aim to create experiences rather than objects, offering collectors meaningful connections and spaces of peace, healing and possibility.  My studio practice celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability and storytelling, transforming everyday materials into poetic forms that resonate deeply with collectors seeking authenticity and emotional presence for modern interiors and hearts everywhere.” — NORMA RUFFINELLI

EMERALD ARTIST OF MARCH
JOHN DIEPHOUSE
**RUBY ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2024**
**CRYSTAL ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2023**
* Fantastic Voyage (Misdirection) *
Digital collage

“I am a self-taught photographer and digital collage artist and am attracted to a wide variety of subjects ranging from natural landscapes, botanicals and wildlife to images that provide either abstract expression or social commentary.  I am interested in sharing images that evoke a story of some kind.  Images may be simply documentary, reflect a sense of time and place or resonate on a more abstract level of color, shape or form.  Others provoke an indefinable question that does not readily yield answers without further study and reflection.”
— JOHN DIEPHOUSE

CRYSTAL ARTIST OF MARCH
MARIE ALICE PHILLIPS
* First Warmth Of Spring *
Acrylic and pastel

“I was inspired by the remnants of winter snow, the wild daffodils coming out across the landscape and the joy of feeling it’s the beginning of spring.  I wanted to create a sense of standing in the season transition by using intense primary colours and light, airy swirls.” — MARIE ALICE PHILLIPS
